BlueXpress

 

The BlueXpress is operated by Shakopee Transit and Prior Lake Laker Lines to provide non-stop commuter service from Prior Lake and Shakopee to Downtown Minneapolis plus limited reverse commute trips between Downtown, Southbridge Crossings, and Dakotah Parkway.

 

 

Free Park & Rides

There are currently 4 Park & Rides that the

BlueXpress services. They include.

 

Southbride Crossings Transit Station

located at Cty Rd 18 and Crossings Boulevard

behind the Shakopee Home Depot.

 

Eagle Creek Transit Station

located at the intersection of Cty. Rd 21 and

Cty Rd. 16 in Shakopee.

 

Seagate Technologies

located at Cty Rd. 83 and Hwy 169.

Serves 498 Shuttle buses only.

 

Cedar Grove Transit Station (MVTA)

located near Cedar Ave. & Diffley Rd. on Nicols Ave.

 

There are also 2 other Transit stations being built. They are Eagle Creek Transit Station and the Marschall Road Transit Station. Check back soon to see more information about them.

 

 

BlueXpress Fares

The fare for the 490 BlueXpress, the 491 and 492 are $3.00 for one-way. The 498 Shuttle is a free ride.

 

How to Pay the Fare

Shakopee and Prior Lake buses accept all regional passes including SuperSavers 31-day or Stored Value Cards, U-Passes, Go-To Cards, and Metropasses or pay exact cash. Please follow these rules when paying your fare.

 

• Pay your morning fare as you board the Express Route 490 buses and pay your evening fare as you exit.

 

• On the Reverse Commute 491 buses, pay as you exit in the AM and as you enter in the PM.

 

• Transfers to other regional buses will be issued as you exit the express service.

 

• Shuttle Routes 498 are FREE so no tranfers will be issued.
