We here at SmartLink Transit take pride in providing transportation to all residents of Scott and Carver counties, even if you have a disability. If you use a walker, a wheelchair or a power scooter of anytype you can still get around. All of our buses have
the ability to load and unload anytype of
transportation device. Our staff is properly
trained in the correct procedure of loading and
unloading of wheelchairs and scooters as well
as the proper tie down procedures so you can
rest assured that you will be properly secured.
If you use a walker and are unable to use the
stairs of the bus, you too, can also use the lift
to gain access to the bus. Simply tell the driver
of the bus that you would like to use the lift
and we would be more than happy to assist
you.
We are also here to assist you as we can help
you get from your door to our bus door and
vice-versa.
Proper Loading / Unloading of a Wheelchair and Scooter require the driver to load/unload the device with the back towards the bus. You will face out when loading and unloading as pictured above.
