What is SmartLink Transit?

It's your premier Dial-A-Ride, ADA and Medical Assistance service provider for both Scott and Carver counties. One efficient dispatch center coordinated all ride requests, as well as the regional connections to surrounding communities. SmartLink Transit can get you anywhere you need to go within the seven-county metro area.

 

What Services do you provide?

We currently offer Dial-A-Ride, ADA, Medical Assistance and Fixed Routes. You can get information about all of the following by visiting the links to the left. The Brochure and Maps section will give you information on Dial-A-Ride and Fixed Routes while the Medical Assistance and ADA can be found in the Rider Resources section.

 

Do you provide Group Outings?

SmartLink Transit will consider all shared ride requests for group outings, based on availability, during regular service. Please contact Customer Service at 952-496-8341 to discuss your special transportation requests and group fares.

 

What are your service hours?

SmartLink Transit Buses operate Monday through Friday from 5:30AM to 7:00PM.

 

Do your buses operate on Holidays?

SmartLink Transit service will not be available on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.  Standing orders will automatically be canceled, unless the passenger requests otherwise, on the following holidays:  New Year’s Day observed, Memorial Day, Independence Day observed, and Labor Day.

 

Do I need to call in to set up a ride?

Yes, you must call and speak with a Customer Service agent to set up a ride on our Dial-A-Ride, ADA and MA buses. Our Customer Service agents are available Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 4:00PM. Reservations can be made 7 days in advance.

 

Do I pay for the ride on SmartLink?

Yes, all of our rides do have fares and will be paid when you board the bus. Drivers cannot make change so correct currency is required for each ride. You can get additional information by visiting the Fares section to the left.
